Welcome to Buy the Boots
Welcome to the first blog post of the year! Actually, it's my first blog post every, so be kind!
I figure, new year, new adventure. If you know me at all, you'll know that I do love the fashion world. Browsing new clothes, especially sale ones, definitely takes me to my happy place. With a big ol' scary birthday looming in the near future, I kind of figured it's now or never to try to set out to do something that I think I might love...almost as much as taco night!
Over the past year, I've been following a few a my favorite fashion bloggers. I prefer to shop on-line, and return in store. Yes, I'm a serial returner and might be part of the reason our local mall is going out of business...sorry about that!!! But the one thing I've noticed through all my perusing, is that most of my favorite fashion ladies are cute, adorable, teeny little things. XS, petite peeps...the kind of girl I always longed to be. However, petite I am not. Teeny, I am not. My height occasionally actually produces a fashion catastrophe. I was seriously the only 6th grader who couldn't tight roll my jeans because they were already like Huck Finn waders before I even got started!
Insert my grand idea here...I could do my own fashion page! What??? I'll hunt down great deals for you and give you a sense of how they look on me. For reference, I'm 5'10, size L, usually a 12-14. Eeek!!! I can't believe I'm posting that out there in the blogosphere. Now no one will think I'm a 2 when they meet me any more. Oh no...the horror!!!
Since you already now know the intimate stuff, let me introduce myself. My name is Deb. I'm a stay-at-home to 2 little boys, 7 and 5. They are my pride and joy, yet at least once a day I find myself repeating the mantra, "the days are long, but the years are short" just to ease my troubled day. Oh, and my loving husband has been a huge help in encouraging me and helping me get started, but I did learn that launching a blog during college football play-offs doesn't make him quite so helpful. Oops!!!
Anyway, welcome! Thanks for checking out my page. I look forward to passing on great fashion deals to you.
xoxo
